About a month ago, I had the chance to travel to the Netherlands for a couple days with my brother and mom. My mother stayed in the Hague for the duration of the trip while my brother and I stayed at a cozy Airbnb apartment in the museum district in Amsterdam ! It was mostly rainy and cold but we had to make the best out of it: we ventured into the shopping areas of De Negen Straatjes and visited the picturesque canals of De Jordaan. We passed the infamous Red Light District (no pictures allowed, sorry!) which ironically houses the oldest building and church in the city and, of course, the misleading "coffeeshops." I love me some yummy brunch, and I highly suggest Bakers & Roasters's mint hot chocolate, the pictures don't do it justice.
It was really exciting being in a new country again. I've missed that feeling but how lost I felt when all I was surrounded with was Dutch ! Nevertheless, it's worth visiting again for sure, and with better weather. Check out my travel photography for more flicks.
P.S.: Besides Bershka, I fell in love with the store Monki. It was whimsical-childhood-meets-Zara and too many adorable and nifty pieces; sadly, there are no store fronts in the U.S. therefore, I will be back !
